Unable to install Freeform

Freeform was installed on my iPad and iPhone after the software update. I had no use of it back then so I uninstalled it. Now I want to install it but I am unable to install it. It always say “Unable to install Freeform. Please try again later”. Same happened when I tried it on my iPhone. How can I install it again?

Re: "Unable to install Freeform : How can I install it again?"

Apple Support's article (link below) lists the built-in Apple Apps that can be deleted ... seems Freeform is not listed. Delete built-in Apple apps from your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

Seems you may have just deleted the app-icon from your Home screen, yet Freeform likely still remains in the App Library. See: How to: Find your apps in App Library on iPad - Apple Support

and

If you find the Freeform app ok, you can add the icon back to your Home Screen:

Eg: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone - Apple Support

If for some reason the above does not work for you:

This is Apple's method for redownloading / restoring a built-in app that you deleted.:

"Restore a built-in app that you deleted

      1. On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, go to the App Store.
      2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app.
      3. Tap the Redownload button .
      4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home Screen"

Thank you ... that's great!

There may be Freeform files still being stored that are halting the re-download

You could try going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage

See if you can locate Freeform there, scrolling through the list of apps

If so, Tap Delete App at the bottom of the page

Tap Delete app to confirm.

Then you'll need to restart your iPhone (clears temporary files etc).

Open the App Store, enter Freeform in the search box, and tap the redownload (cloud with down arrow) icon.
