Series 8 Watch doesn’t track sleep before midnight

I just bought a series 8 on prime day I clicked track sleep and have my sleep time set but it’s not tracking my sleep before midnight

Why is my Apple Watch 9 not tracking sleep despite correct settings? I have just realised that my watch hasn’t tracked my sleep for the last month. Nothing has changed in settings as far as I know. I didn’t have a sleeping plan but yesterday I set one up just to see if that would help but it is still not tracking. As far as I can see all settings are correct. Sleep tracking I just purchased an Apple Watch series 7 and for the last several days it has not recorded my sleep. Is this because I have not setup a time I go to sleep and wake? Because I can’t set this as I am an emergency service worker and my sleep is not a consistent schedule from day-to-day. I was hoping this was like my Fitbit I used to use and no matter when I fall asleep my data is recorded. Hopefully it’s just a simple setting I have missed.

You will need to enable sleep focus before going to sleep to see if it will start tracking
