Unable to delete "Tab Group Favorites" in Bookmarks in Safari

Hi,

am on macOS Ventura 13.5 with Safari 16615.3.12.11.2

I mistakingly created "Tab Group Favorites" in Bookmarks and am unable to delete it. No option for deleting is given when applying the Control-click command. In the process of trying to delete Tab Group Favorites, I created respective subfolders which are also impossible to delete. This ought to be a bug. Any solution to this anyone?

For two years or more I have been unable to get rid of the bookmark "Tab Group Favorites"

Apple "experts" told me it could not be removed.

Today I read your advice: to get rid of "Tab Group Favorites", click on it while pressing "tab", hit the cross to the right and it's gone.

THEY ARE FINALLY REMOVED! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

what is the deal with tab groups for sure! totally un-intuitive, un-mac like and buggy along with profiles. safari seems to be getting worse with hinky add-on rube Goldberg like features with every iteration.

but apple never listens.

I so want to get rid of the 20 empty folders within Tab Group Favorites on my MBA M2. Utterly frustrating. Looks like I made them in error while trying to create simple Favorites (not Tab Group Favorites). And you're all ahead of me; I don't even see the little cross. Specs: MacBook Air M2, 2022 macOS Sonoma v14.0

Thank you so much for sharing this solution. Like so many other safari users, I been trying to delete an unwanted "Tab Group Bookmark" for years - and now such a simple solution!

Don't you think Apple could have offered this solution years ago?!!

Thanks. This is clearly for me an unsupported and undocumented feature and I do not want to spend a long time to explain something they don't care.

Browsing for "macOS focus ring" yields a variety of results - at a glance, it looks developer-specific to me...probably unrelated to the Tab Group Favs issue...

Yes you'r right. I would rely on a persistent solution. Perhaps Sonora will bring a more consistent and permanent feature but, as far, Ventura is not the right place for such an expectation.

How can that be? Tab Group Favourites appear if and only if you opt for them. I made them, I deleted them and they haven't "magically" reappeared ever since.
