I want to change the # that follows iPhone on my device designation

My phone shows on my account at IPhone 31. I want to change the number. I have not owned 31 iphones. I do not know why this phone shows 31. How do you change the number.

Have you tried to edit the name to correct it?

Settings > General > About > Name

Edit the name as needed and tap Done
