How to fix Paramount+ region error on Apple TV

I am subscribed to Paramount + through Apple TV. It was working as expected until yesterday evening. We were continuing watching a tv series when we got an error stating this show is not available in our region. I tried all of the fixes suggested without success & tried different shows we’ve watched via Apple TV Paramount + but all shows now return the same error.

I verified my subscription is active. Verified correct region was selected (United States). Restarted the Apple TV. Unplugged the Apple TV for 60 seconds. Verified my internet was working (all other platforms are working as usual). Unplugged my modem.

Nothing is working. The only thing I didn’t do was reset my Apple TV. It seems an extreme option to reset Apple TV and lose everything for one failed platform. I see others have had this issue as well. Is there anything else that successfully fixes this issue?

I have the same issue and found a workaround, kind of.

the paramount app doesn’t work, it only shows the spinning snowflake (that’s what I call it).

paramount support hasn’t been helpful so far.

but it is possible to what’ve paramount content on Apple TV by watching it as a channel within the tv+-app from Apple.

the drawback is, that you then cannot use the user settings from paramount.

but at least you could watch paramount stuff on Apple TV.

  • If you subscribed with Paramount+ directly, then you would have a dedicated Paramount+ account with which you are able to sign in to their app on any of your devices, as well as their website. But not the channel of the same name inside the Apple TV app.
  • If you subscribed to Paramount+ inside their app on an Apple device, then the subscription would be linked to your Apple ID account, with payment through Apple. This type of subscription is valid for all your own Apple devices; not on the web, not on third party devices, not the channel of the same name inside the Apple TV app.
  • If you subscribed to Paramount+ channel inside the Apple TV app, then the subscription would be linked to your Apple ID account, with payment through Apple. This type of subscription is valid for all your devices with the Apple TV app; not on the web, not the Paramount+ app.

These types of subscriptions have different terms and conditions, different perks and limitations, and they are generally not exchangeable.

Paramount Plus is so screwed up!!! I pay for it on my card but can only access it through Apple TV and not on their platform, this is more of geeks overthinking crap and making things more and more difficult. This should be so easy but it’s not and Paramount could care less. I emailed them and basically told me they are not sure how it all works.

I have been having the same issue since Apple updated their OS and Paramount+ updated their app last week. Apple tells me it’s a problem with Paramount+ and Paramount+ avoids the issue of how many subscribers are having similar issues. Either way, I can no longer access the Paramount+ app on my iPhone or my AppleTV. Paramount’s suggestion is that I just use the web, which does work. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

I am having a similar issue when I had to renew my subscription, restoring my purchase from iTunes loops me back to the sign on page, entering my username and password just says "oops there is an error" but I changed my password and can log in online thru a computer. I contacted Paramount+ for help, spoke to someone, had my case escalated and tried all the steps they gave me for them to tell me it is Apple and IOS 17. I just want to watch my stories!

My issue is every title on Paramount+ has an ever ending spinning cog.

I have done everything including the Apple TV reset which was a major PIA and nothing has worked. After weeks I was able to get ahold of support at Paramount Plus who have been little better than useless


After 10 replies from them they said my TV was not compatible, to which I had to respond - you know we have been talking about it not working on my Apple TV for days. Suffice it to say this went nowhere.


With costs of everything tired of paying for services I cannot use.


Now what makes me think this is an Apple issue is that this has happened once before with my Prime app and that last for months and believe it was a tvOS issue with update. So suspect this is another tvOS issue that I get to pay for things that do not work and will have to wait months for Apple to maybe fix.

I have an issue with all the “available plans” on my iPhone subscription for Paramount+…… There’s about eleven options and a few them are duplicates!! I picked the premium for $11.99 with SHOWTIME. I am able to watch Paramount+ and download shows/movies through the AppleTV but when I try to go on the Paramount+ app it tells me to restart my subscription which is super weird when I already have an account with Paramount+.
