There are two syncing methods to transfer photos from a computer to your iPad or iPhone,
These two methods are mutually exclusive. If you switch from the manual syncing to the syncing with iCloud, the manually synced items will be removed from your iPad. But all items from your Photos Library on your Mac will appear in iCloud and on your iPad as well. iCloud Photos will keep the Photos Libraries on all your synced devices identical. It i very convenient. A photo you import on any of your devices will appear on all devices. Any album or folder you create on any device will appear on all devices, Any adjustments or captions or faces you add will be updated on all devices.
