Syncing my new macbook with my iphone 11

My first macbook air and iphone 11 were very insync with the files and text messages etc. Now that I got a new macbook most things dont sync anymore. I can't send texts through my computer unless its an apple phone. Any thoughts?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.4

If you're talking about iMessages, that is an Apple thing that uses the Internet. SMS and MMS are cell phone things. Your Mac isn't a cell phone, and so it requires help from an iPhone to send or receive SMS and MMS messages. You need to enable that on a per-computer basis in Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding.
