Install Turbotax 2022 CD on Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1

I purchased a 2022 Turbotax CD and have a licence code. I've used it successfully on a PC. I now need to install it on a MacBook Air running OS Ventura 13.4.1. From what I have read, it should work on Ventura. I am the administrator on my Mac. I can "see" the Turbotax T1/22 folder on my Mac desktop, but when I open the folder and try to double click on the .exe file, nothing happens. Therefore, I cannot install it. I've tried downloading instead, but I when I first used the CD on a PC I did not create a Turbotax online account. I've since created a Turbotax online account from my Mac, but it does not "see" my previous CD purchase and therefore will not allow me to download without re-purchasing. I've tried Turbotax online support but there is no online chat, just a search function that hasn't helped. Any thoughts? I appreciate the help.

Check with Intuit TurboTax support.

If the license keys are re-usable per the agreements as is fairly common for cross-platform apps such as this, you might be able to download the macOS kit from Intuit, and re-use that same license key.

Are you sure that the TurboTax CD you have is for MacOS? If it previously worked on your PC (Windows) and you mention a .exe file, that leads me to believe the CD you have is not for Mac OS, but only for Windows.

Call TurboTax Support and explain the situation to them (phone number is on the linked page). As long as you have a valid license code they should be willing to allow you to switch from PC to Mac.

A few years ago I had a problem with a CD version of TurboTax and they were most accommodating by adding a downloadable version to my TurboTax account.

There should be a PKG or DMG file to install the Mac Version. Double click that.

EXE files are for Windows only. They do not work on Mac.

Very strange as any TT disc I have always supports both Windows and Mac. When you start the disc what does it show on the screen (just a folder)? You should see an icon that states to drag to applications folder.

Contact Intuit and see if they have a download for it.

Thank you. Here is a screen shot. I double clicked on the TT disc icon, which opened the first window containing four folders, then I double clicked on the blue "Turbotax Turboimpot 2022" folder which then opened the window below it.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. It was purchased online but not directly from Intuit. I didn't realize I'd need the Mac version in addition to the PC version when I purchased it so didn't think to ask about it. I appreciate your help.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately there is no .dmg file on my CD. I guess I am simply out of luck.

I do not have these folders. Very strange. It appears this is a Windows only disk but not sure why. Where did you get this disc?

“TurboTax TurboImpot” (TurboImpôt) looks to be a French Canadian app installer.

If that is the CD you acquired, contacter le vendeur. 😉

Hi, thanks. Yes, I'm in Canada so that part isn't unusual to me. I think I've just got a version of TT2022 that doesn't accommodate Macs. I appreciate your help.
