Hello, does anyone know why the NewsMax app has stopped working on Apple TV? I recently changed providers (from Comcast to Verizon), downloaded the app, watched NewsMax several days, then yesterday and today it has the message “Something went wrong, please check your connection and try again.” The other channels are working fine. I’ve tried to reload, but still get the same message. Thanks!

I have Newmax Plus on Apple tv for some reason it does not work even after i type my credentials . it keeps coming back and saying you have to sign in for newsmax plus . Its ridicoulous is this a newsmax issue or Apple issue? It works on My phone ! I called Newsmax and support is horrible the lady said well we have been having issues with Appl App for apple tv you have to keep installing it and removing it for it to finally work? am like what?
If there was an issue with newsmax app and APPle it should be resolved before iot was rolled out . am Considering cancelling my subscription . this has been going on for two months already
I am having the same issue. Out of convenience (and because the original app didn’t support a picture-in-picture (PIP)), I just sign into the website on my web browser on my phone:
It allows PIP so I can run other apps and just listen to it. And if you have the PIP, exit out of your browser app and you can turn your phone screen off and have the Newsmax audio still playing as well as with any Bluetooth devices.
i reinstalled the app and so fare it is ok now... but the real test will be tonight because that's when i have problem watching Gregg Kelly when i go to bed...time will tell....hope i fixed it... or hope they fixed it

I was trying to register for newsmax+ for $49.99 per year. I tried to get my password & email address. It repeatedly kept rejecting them. Trying to get the regular app it didn’t respond. It froze! Please, please help me!!!
I’m thinking it’s an issue with the new Newsmax Plus app. We are having issues with the new app that we never had with the recently discontinued (free) app. Given the very short notice for the new app announcement, I’m thinking it was rushed to market without thorough testing on a variety of platforms.
Update on 11/28:
Received a reply from Newsmax that the buffering circle issue has been fixed. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Newsmax app and we still see the buffering circle.
Note: We are streaming with an Apple TV 4K.
Based on my own experience, I’m guessing the issue is with the app. I had issues with the Newsmax app on our Apple TV for about 1 1/2 months before it was fixed. In the interim, I sent many emails to Newsmax and never received a response. You are correct - Newsmax should have tested the app before rolling it out and charging for it.
my problem expressed above still persists....i'm going to reinstall and test and will reveal the results here later
again the problem for me is watching the prerecorded shows....after 5 min it freezes and screen goes black... then....if i close not quit the app... i can get it come resume for another 5 min...is it a caching issure or is WOKE internet networks crippliing the app due to the nature of the media's views.... i sure hope not... THATwould be un-American

I am able to stream the Newsmax Plus app, but I see a buffering circle in the center of my screen the entire time. I only see this on Newsmax and no other app. I’ve emailed Newsmax about the issue numerous times and they don’t respond.
It appears that Verizon is controlling the news media. Since OAN was removed, Newsmax was the only free option. Now Newsmax is pixelated after 5pm regularly, so people will drop that as well. No other channels are pixelated, and Verizon can’t “fix it “ without coming into your home. Fishy.
I emailed Newsmax to let them know that the issue with the new app was not fixed - still seeing the buffering circle in the middle of my screen. That was several days ago and still no response.
So I can watch NewsmaxPlus without any actual buffering symptoms, yet still see that annoying, spinning circle - typically right on the face of the show’s host.
Again, we are streaming with an Apple TV 4K device and never had this issue with the old, free Newsmax app.
Newsmax app is terrible. I have to sign in everytime I want to use it. Now it is buffering as of today and picture shrinks same time. And this is what I've paid for?! Very disappointing. Has totally changed my mind about newsmax. Terrible app.
