I am trying to view different reminder lists on the MacOS widgets.
I have two reminders widget setup, one for 'Reminders' and one for another list.
The 'Reminders' list has items in it, but they don't show up in the widget. The other reminders list just shows lines.
I have examples below.

Try different size widget and compare your results...

Add or change reminders on Mac
If you are syncing with iCloud try turning off Reminders there and make changes, compare your results...
