Why do I have a message to update my number before 28/07
I had a message today saying “Reminder: You have one day left (until 28/07) to update your phone number.
To complete this, go to apple.com/recover” but I’m not sure how to actually update it

Did you receive this message in email, or text? Account Recovery is used when you can no longer access your Apple ID and need help updating information to regain access. Unless you requested to update your phone number using Account Recovery, this may be a phishing attempt to obtain your information.
Since you have to use your Apple ID to sign in here, we recommend reading over the two articles below. They will provide you with information to how to recognize if the message is truly from Apple, how to recognize phishing attempts, and where to report them.
