iPad Restarting Itself

My IPad keeps restarting itself. My iPad is an IPad 5th gen with iOS 16.6

i’ve tried force restarting. Can someone pls help me?

I have the same problem with my Ipad Air (4th gen) and I've tried them all: charging it, doing all the updates, emptying the memory, initialising the wifi (this problem started more or less when I changed wifi provider, but I think it's unrelated) and finally I initialised the ipad twice. Nothing! it keeps rebooting. if anyone could help me I would be very grateful

A boot loop is a condition whereby the device attempts to restart and load its Operating System - but never reaches a “running” stable state before automatically rebooting. The reboot process continuously repeats in a loop.


The only way to break the loop condition is to completely reinstall (i.e., restore) a fresh copy of the Operating System.

Start by connecting your iPad to its Power Adapter and allow the iPad to charge for at least an hour. This step is advised as a battery with very low charge, or is failing, may produce symptoms that emulate a boot loop.


If the problem fails to stabilise after an hour, whilst still connected to the Power Adapter, attempt a forced restart of the iPad:


  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.



  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.




If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen. Or if your iPad isn’t working correctly after you restart it, see the iPad Support website.


If your iPad is stuck is actually stuck in a boot-loop, you’ll need to resolve this specific issue - which may entail “restoring” the most recent version of iPadOS to the iPad. This support page outlines restoration of an iPad to Factory Settings:

Same. I got another one, totally erased the old one and set a new apple ID for it. Loaded nothing but the one app I want to use it for. Worked for a week or two but back to doing it. Brand new cord helps and not wiggling cord. But I cannot keep buying a new cord every one to two months. Eventually the planets align and I can get in. And if I do not move it, it stays working for a couple of hours. Battery says anywhere from 96% to 100% or not charging. But if not plugged in it will just flash apple screen over and over.

Sorry my friend I wish I could, this is such a ridiculous situation so many of us are in with absolutely no official help whatsoever. It can’t just be coincidence we are all experiencing this, they have us hooked on their products like drug addicts and the only option being touted is to buy more.
