Update to the latest version of Safari - Apple Support describes how to update your Mac's operating system and the Safari version it incorporates.
That's the problem; Sierra is really quite old at this point. A lot of websites are going to require a more recent browser.
If a newer macOS is not an option for you, try using Brave:
To my knowledge any Mac that can run macOS 10.12.6 "Sierra" can be upgraded to run to version 10.13.6 "High Sierra". It will convey nothing but advantages, including the ability to run Brave.
If you read through the instructions in Update to the latest version of Safari - Apple Support under Update your Mac, it eventually leads to If you want to download an older compatible version of macOS, which in turn contains instructions for updating your Mac to High Sierra. Scroll down to where it says High Sierra 10.13, and follow those instructions.
For this application it is telling me that I need to be running MacOS 10.13 or later. I am running MacOS 10.12.6. So it is telling me this version the application "Brave Browser" will not run. Still need some help. Thanks...
I have already tried to do that but it is telling me that there are no updates available. My macOS Sierra is Version is 10.12.6
