Siri using WhatsApp instead of iMessage

Siri randomly decided to start using WhatsApp to text my wife instead of normal messages. Is there a way to make Siri go back to using messages without having to specify that it needs to use the messages app to text my wife? I know there is an option coming for iOS17 but for now is really annoying that there is not an option in settings anywhere. I deactived Use with ask Siri on WhatsApp for now to bypass it but I do use Siri to make WhatsApp calls so its really annoying.

I would say that's correct but I have only message my wife thru whatsapp a couple of times there is barely any conversation history, meanwhile in the messages app we message daily so seems pretty obvious that Siri's algorithm to "learn" habits it's pretty bugged or not being implemented correctly. There is other people I message exclusively through WhatsApp and Siri uses the Messages app to send a message to them when prompted. Looks like I will have to wait for ios 17 because there is several people who have asked the same question and no one has an answer.
