Mail not searching
I'm running macOS Ventura 13.5 and the search bar in Mail is not working at all. I have read forums, watched videos and read articles and still NOTHING! Can anyone help?

Give this a try: How to rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support.
Download and run Etrecheck. Be sure to give it Full Disk access before running.
Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.
Copy the report
and use the Additional Text button to paste the report in your reply.
Then we can evaluate the report to see if we can determine the cause of the problem.
One more suggestion: select all of the mailboxes in the sidebar and use the Mailboxes ➙ Rebuild menu option.
Let it run for about 15 minutes or so.
Thank you for your reply. I just tried that and it did not fix the issue.
I tried that too and it didn't run. Maybe I have a virus. Sigh...
