Someone is trying to log into my Apple ID

a while ago i had to change my Iphone and now someone is trying to login to my account with my phone number

If your phone number is listed on another persons phone as a Trusted Phone number, then it would be normal for you to receive two factor authentication codes like that when they went to an Apple site. Check if a family member has your phone listed as a trusted phone number and if they were trying to sign into an Apple site or it the requested a verification code. It is also possible that someone is trying to sign into your Apple ID, but they would not get access without that code that is sent to your device. When someone tries signing into your Apple ID, verification codes are sent to the phone numbers listed at Settings > [name on top] > Password & Security > Trusted Phone Numbers.


You can see who is signed into your Apple ID by going to Settings > [name on top], and scroll to the bottom. The device there are using your Apple ID and can be removed by tapping on them.


With those texts alone, it does not mean you account has been compromised, only that two factor authentication is working as it is supposed to. If you do ever feel that your account is compromised or that someone may know your Apple ID password, then there is this:
