Can I use thinkpad docking station with macbook air

I've got a thinkpad docking station and having trouble with display as it does not want to pick up 2 x external monitors, external keyboard and mouse works fine but not display. help please!

Ideally I would like to change as little as possible and be able to use the macbook (lid closed is fine) on a docking station with 2 external 1920x1080 monitors and a usb keyboard/mouse. Thank you!

Macbook Pro M4 recognizing dual external displays as one monitor Hi everyone, I’m having trouble connecting my new MacBook Pro M4 to two external monitors using a dock. No matter what I try, macOS always recognizes both monitors as a single display instead of two separate screens. I have already tried: Different docks (both powered and non-powered) Various HDMI and DisplayPort cables Changing display settings in macOS Nothing seems to work. Both monitors mirror each other instead of being detected as separate displays. Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there a specific dock or setup that works with dual monitors on the M4 MacBook Pro? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Macbook air M3 extended display with docking station not working Hi, I bought the Macbook air M3 2024 and to my surprise, and disappointment, the extended display do not work with Dell docking stations. I have been told by support that maybe there could be other docking stations that could work, I repeat this is very disappointing purchased this mac hoping to have the extended functionality. Any suggestion on how to make the extended functionality work with out having to connect separately the second external monitor into the Mac? Seriously thinking of returning this computer. Thanks

Which MacBook Air do you have?

The M1 and M2 MacBook Airs support one external display. Adding a docking station will not increase the number of hardware video outputs.

If you have an earller, Intel-based MacBook Air, the limit on displays may be different. E.g.. the Retina 13" 2020 MacBook Air could drive one external 5K/6K display or two external 4K ones. (Though not necessarily over the same port.)
