My transit card is no longer in Apple Wallet

My transit card has been in my Wallet app for months, and suddenly this week it disappeared. Now I don’t have a physical card to readd it. What can I do to access my card again?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Make sure that you did not sign out of Apple ID, doing so will remove cards. Confirm you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for adding the card, re-add as detailed in the previous reply linked support doc:

  1. open the Wallet app and tap the Add button .
  2. Tap Previous Cards and choose your Suica, PASMO, or ICOCA card.
  3. Add your card.

I think your path forward is to contact Apple Support (1-800-MY-APPLE) and confirm that transit cards are backed up from iPhone. You may need to request your issue be escalated to Tier 2 support. If Apple Support can’t help, then contact SmartTrip support and see if they can assist with restoring your old card.
