I see from your tag line you haven't updated to iOS 16 (16.6 is the most current), so update your iPhone and if that doesn't help, then see the suggestions in this link --> If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support
This presumes of course you haven't had your screen replaced by anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you did, FaceID may never work again.
And if you didn't have the screen replaced and you tried all the suggestion in the link I provided, you may have a hardware issue and you'll need to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
