Remove OpenOffice and download/install LibreOffice v7.5.5. Document compatibility and improved vendor commitment to more frequent updates make for a solid solution. I have 7.5.5 installed on Ventura 13.5 without issues. The choice of Terminal shell will not enter the picture when using LibreOffice.
Good choice. that was what I was going to suggest as well. OpenOffice lost its status of true open source because the development by Apache started using closed and proprietary source code, so the original developers left that project and created LibreOffice.
