Magic Mouse does not do the intended operation

When I click on a link with the magic mouse, then maybe 4 times out of 5 I get "look up (word)" or a context menu, instead of what I want, which is usually y simply "follow link" or "open file". Why doesn't the mouse just do teh obvious thing, instead of all of this other random, irritating, useless behavior?
