If I were to have a smart TV that includes Apple Airplay built into it, would that allow me to be able to stream audio from the television set to my AirPods?

• iPhone or iPad with iOS 11.4 or later
• Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD or Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with the latest software1
• All HomePod models with the latest software
• Mac with either iTunes 12.8 or later or macOS Catalina or later
• PC with iTunes 12.8 or later
Devices you can stream to
• Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD and Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) with the latest software
• All HomePod models with the latest software
• Speakers connected to the Audio Out port on AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd generation) with the latest firmware updates
• AirPlay-compatible smart TVs2 with the label “Works with Apple AirPlay”

You may also connect AirPods via Bluetooth to devices that offer that functionality as well.
