There is no need to prove anything here, and so far seemingly no need for video.

Tell us—in words, maybe a screenshot—which part of the (Settings > Game Center > Nickname) sequence is not working with your iPad that is running iPadOS 16.6. With that sequence, it would be usual to tap on the current nickname shown, and then change it, and tap Done.

Given there are three controls in sequence (Settings > Game Center > Nickname), which are you missing?

Which iPadOS version? Your footer here indicates iPadOS 16, and 16.6 is current. Is that running here?

Go to Settings > Game Center > Nickname.

Do you have Contents & Privacy Restrictions turned on in Screen Time that prevents "Allow Avatar & Nickname Changes" for Game Center or more generally the "Allow Account Changes"?

So everything is seemingly working, though the new nickname is not being permitted.

The nickname sought is likely in use or is otherwise unavailable.

Pick something else.

• Is it greyed out so you can't change it?
• If you can tap on it, do the changes not save?
