Downloading podcasts to my desktop

When i try to download podcasts from the itunes store i get the message

'There was a temporary problem with your request.

The itunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later'.

I've tried all number of podcasts over the last month but still get this message.

Have never had this problem before. I have the latest version (12.10.11)

I doubt that you have Windows 6 (only Apple think such a version existed), but iTunes 12.10.11.2 is the most recent version of iTunes that will run on a Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC, so presumably you have one of those versions installed.

The current version of iTunes (on the day of writing this) is 12.12.9.4

As far as I know, that version of Windows should still be able to access the iTunes Store (and Podcasts), but I may be wrong and the cause of the issue may be the old version of iTunes and Windows.

It may be time to think about updating, at least to Windows 10.

It's just when i try to subscribe to new podcasts from the store.

That could still be caused by a lack of access to the iTunes Store.

As far as I know, once you are subscribed to a Podcast, the iTunes store plays no further part in the process. Your iTunes Library communicates directly with the Podcast feed, which doesn't need anything from the store.
