Problem with locations in iOS 16.6

Updated to 16.6 late last night, and now I'm noticing that Apple Maps, google maps, and any app that uses location services while plugged into CarPlay is having some serious issues.

also, 3 times on 5 CarPlay isn’t working (no boot)

Both Apple and google maps will work at first, but both end up freezing at some point during navigation, and I have to hard reset my phone (with the buttons) to get any sort of location services working again.

When this happens, the location icon in Apple Maps is completely greyed out, and google maps is just unable to do anything. Neither can see my current correct location, and I'm unable to get new directions until I do a hard reboot.

I've also noticed that any apps which would normally use location services, also stop working entirely. Even the compass stops working. Weird as ****!

If I unplug the lightning cable and disconnect CarPlay, no problems at all.

looks like this isn't just limited to CarPlay. Just got home & turned Wi-Fi off. Apple Maps can't find me, google maps isn't working. Apps that reply on location like SpeedTest don't work, instagram can't find my location. Did a hard reboot, and it's working again...but only for a few minutes.

If you are home, indoors, your phone can’t receive GPS signals because GPS satellite transmissions can only be seen outdoors with a clear view of the sky. In situations where GPS is unavailable your phone falls back to the known locations of Wi-Fi networks. But if you turn off Wi-Fi that location method won’t work either.
