Reminders don't end on scheduled date

I've set up a reminder on/about 7/12/23 to remind me of something every 12 hours for 10 days. I set the end date to 7/22/23. Yet, it's still giving me reminders, even when I click the radio button that it's complete. A new one just pops up for 12 hours later - and we're well beyond the "end date" of 7/22/23.

Running iOs 16.6 on iPhone 14 (just updated last week)

I have restarted my phone using the instructions about turning it off, waiting at least 30 seconds (I waited 5 minutes).

The only way it seems to be rid of the reminder is to delete it.

Any help appreciated.
