I'm having an issue with Final Cut Pro version 10.6.7 - Video playback freezes.

Hello! I'm having an issue with Final Cut Pro version 10.6.7. I'm using it on Apple M2 Max, 96GB Ram.While editing the video playback freezes. I'm still able to scroll through the timeline or to edit videos in the timeline. The issue is that the video window is not working. It's frozen on a single frame and that's it. After some time it gets back to normal but then it freezes again. There are lots of people out there complaining about this issue, especially after the 10.6.7 update;

I have to mention the fact that switching to fullscreen or changing the view percentage or size is not helping.

Thank you!

There have been a few people here who said that resetting FCP preferences helped them. Not sure if it's a permanent fix but it's an easy thing to try.

Hold Option and Command while launching FCP and choose Delete Preferences. It will open the default Untitled library. Re-open the library you were working on, set the Preferences back to the way you like them (disable background rendering, reset Import to Leave Files in Place, etc.) and see if the issue has been resolved.

Also, send Apple your feedback via Final Cut Pro>Provide Final Cut Pro Feedback...  or use this link Feedback - Final Cut Pro - Apple The more people who submit, the more likely it is this issue will rise to the top of the FCP team's to do list.
