Trouble loading articles from MSN like breaking news

MSN homepage loads weird. Shows up immediately, then goes dark, reships itself within a couple of seconds. The real issue is I look for the stuff I'm interested in and create tabs for them. I then go back to read them. Sometimes, no issues but many times, I will get through several and then discover the articles I created tabs for, didn't load and all I have is the old homepage of MSN. It seems like this situation occurs every time Apple decides that it's an insecure website, which is about every other month or so. Any solutions. Have corrected it somehow in the past but can't recall exactly how.
