as admin on Macbook Pro, can I view/interact in another user's desktop

My child has forgotten her password. I want to access her user account to help her change it.

Computer: MacBook Pro, M1 chip, macOS: VENTURA 13.5

Do you have an admin account on her system? You'd need that in order to change her password. You can log in as admin and use the System Preferences -> Users and Groups to change her password.


In addition, if you're not there and are trying to set this up remotely, then that can only be done if remote access (e.g. screen sharing) was already enabled. If it's not currently on then someone would need to log into her machine in order to enable it
