AppleCare in Africa - Any Authorized Store?

Hi,

I just purchased 2 new devices that are eligible for Apple Care.

Now, we will be traveling for a long period in Africa, and as far as I can see, there is only 1 store in UAE.

Questions:

  • are there any authorized stores in any African countries where I could turn to if I need to use the AppleCare coverage, and if so, where can I find the list?
  • if none available, does it mean I would need to ship any device to UAE? And if so, who pays for shipping to/from? Apple Care or I?

Thanks

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.15

Many devices have warranty and AppleCare or even non-coverage service only in the country where the device was purchased. Macs would have global coverage, I think. For iPhone, iPad, and the like, you will have to travel back to country of the Store.

Africa is a big continent. You’ll have to search by country. Of the African countries, Apple lists 13 (including 4 island nations or dependencies) for sales and/or support: Choose your country or region - Apple Support (Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Morocco, Réunion Island, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda). UAE is not considered to be in Africa for this grouping.

You can find local Stores and Service Centers by country through locate.apple.com, then change the country in the bottom-right of the page.
