It sounds like you're being charged for an Apple Music subscription every month? And, you're frustrated because you can't turn it off! Maybe I can help...

To cancel the recurring charges for an Apple Music, App Store, or other subscriptions set up on your iPhone, here's what you can do:

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone
  • Tap on your name at the top. (This will take you to your iCloud settings.)
  • Look for the 'Subscriptions' line, and tap that. (This will take you to a list of your Active and Inactive subscriptions, along with some options.)
  • Look at the 'ACTIVE' list to find your iTunes/Apple Music subscription; then tap that. The information here will tell you how much you're paying and when the subscription next renews.
  • Tap the link to 'Cancel Subscription'.

Your debit card will still be associated with your AppleID, but cancelling the subscription will stop any future payments from being taken from your debit card/bank account.

---

To see and/or change your debit card information, start at the same place:

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone
  • Tap on your name at the top. (This will take you to your iCloud settings.)
  • This time, though, look for, and tap on 'Payment & Shipping'. (This will take you to a place where you can add or change payment methods.)
  • Tap 'Edit' in the upper right corner.
  • You may or may not be able to remove your debit card and have no payment method at all. If you can remove the card, it'll have a red minus sign in front of it - tap that red minus sign, and it'll remove the card from your payment methods.

Apple has some rules around when a payment method is required. If you have other subscriptions set up, you'll have to have *some* payment method set up, for example. So, if your debit card doesn't have a red minus in front of it, you won't be able to remove it until you set up another way to pay.

I can understand it would be scary to be getting a monthly charge on your debit card, and you don't know where it's coming from!

If you've checked everything above, and you don't see any subscriptions, then another possibility is that the charges come from a scam. Unfortunately, there have been scams using the words "iTunes" and links that contain "iTunes" in them.

I would suggest that you contact your bank directly. Ask them if they see anything suspicious about these monthly charges from "iTunes". They may be able to tell you more. If it looks like a scam, they also may be able to block the charges from your account. At the very least, they'll be able to help you figure out what to do about the charges.

Good luck! I wish you the best in getting this solved before any more charges can come from your account!
