Linksys EA8300 used as an NAS

I recently upgraded my home network with a mesh system (TP-Link). Previously I was using the Linksys EA8300, which worked quite well, but did not give me the coverage I desired. The new system is excellent. I had read that it was possible for unused routers to be used to create an NAS with my purpose being to put an external drive on it that contains a large collection of photos and videos of the family. Can this realistically be done?

Repurposing Router as an NAS I recently bought a mesh system for better coverage. I had read that I could use of my Linksys EA8300 router as a way to connect an external hard drive and create accessible storage regardless of the computer I am using (iMac or MacBooks). I have changed the IP Address on the router, but understand from my research that Auto Config-DHCP cannot be used for this purpose. The other options I have are Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP, Bridge Mode, Wireless Repeater, Wireless Bridge. How to fix UGreen NAS access issues over Ethernet? I recently bought a UGreen 4 bay NAS and set it up by plugging it into my router. The web access worked great for the setup and all went well with no issues. However, moving large files to the NAS was painfully slow over wifi so I decided to connect the NAS directly to my Mac via Ethernet cable. Now I can connect and see the ‘server’ in the finder and transfer files to it. But I can’t access the server via the web page (find.ugnas.com). Has anyone found a workaround for this issue?
