How to remove Adobe Creative Cloud from login items after deleting the complete Adobe suite.

It's enoying that the Adobe uninstaller does not remove everything from my Mac. There are still leftovers or remnants. Even CleanMyMac does not do the job. The problem was that Adobe Creative Cloud still was mentioned in the Login Items list and the The Activity Monitor shows still two Adobe processes.

The only thing to was to run through the filesystem directories to manually remove everything that has the name Adobe in the filesystem name.

  1. On your desktop, press Shift-Command-G keys.
  2. Go to the following folders separately and find and delete files related to Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • ~/Library/Application Support
    • ~/Library/Preferences
    • /Library/LaunchAgents
    • /Library/LaunchDaemons
    • /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools

After done that my Mac started up as quick as possible.

Good work there 👍 and thank you for sharing your solution.

Just a possible lesser issue though.

" Even CleanMyMac does not do the job " aka " BrickMyMac "

Not really a suggested way to maintain a healthy operating system.

Tend to not leave the Heavy Lifting to some Third Party Cleaning application.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS,  is an invitation for disaster.

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a portion on each sale. What the Application may do to the computer is up to the User to check this out before purchase

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions

1 - Disk Cleaner

This will include CleanMyMac , aka “ BrickMyMac

Read some of the posting and arrive at your own conclusions.

I don't have

  • /Library/LaunchDaemons
  • /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools

in my Library... is this normal? I have Sonoma 14.2.1 installed. Command-shift-G also doesn't work for me. The window appears but nothing happens when I enter a file path, no suggestions, and when I press tab or enter I get the error sound.

Adobe is still showing up on my login items after Adobe cleaner, and manually deleting Adobe files from my library.
