5th Gen Ipod Battery Weirdness.

My 5th Gen Ipod (circa 2012) battery has been "on and off" with full charges. And after 11 years...

1.) with a full charge (100%) it runs for 5-10 minutes then I get the 20% and it shuts down a minute later

2.) Also with a full charge it occasionally runs for about 30 minutes and shuts down.

3.) NOW with a full charge it's been running steadily for (as of this moment) 15 hours straight.

The thing had shown no signs whatsoever of battery degradation prior to this.

Is this just a plain old battery age issue?

5th Gen iPod Touch Battery I received a refurbished 5th generation iPod touch for Christmas, and it's been working great, EXCEPT, every time I turn it off, it "loses" battery life. The battery could be at 75% when I turn it off, and when I go to turn it back on, it gives me the red battery logo and takes forever to turn back on once it's plugged up to a charger. When it finally does turn on, it shows the battery is not actually drained, but is near the same charge as it was when I turned it off (as it should be). I've tried looking for this specific issue, but while I've seen others report a similar problem, theirs is usually a symptom of a bigger issue. I'm not having any other battery related issues though...when the iPod is on and in use, the battery lasts for hours. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

6 month old ipod touch battery is junk Greetings... 32g Gen 7 iPod model #mvht2ll/A, and currently running 14.8.1 I bought this iPod new back on May 27th 2021 and it's been running great until a few days ago when now the battery goes dead after 2-3 hrs. no matter if I'm using it, put to sleep, or completely turn it off. I've tried factory re-setting it, and that offered no help either. I'd sure like to think that paying $200 for it, it should have a warranty covering such a thing, right?
