Old GarageBand/New OS
Hello,
I have a 2017 iMac, 2.3 GHz, Intel Core i5. I am still using Mojave 10.14.6, and have been reluctant to upgrade to Ventura because I was told that Ventura will render my GarageBand 6.0.4 useless. I have created hundreds of song projects with that version. I also have GarageBand 10.3.5, but I strongly prefer the old version.
I am now experiencing regular bouts of sluggishness (spinning beachball, frozen screen, etc.). I have run Malware and it comes up clean. I am wondering a few things:
- Will upgrading to Ventura likely improve the sluggishness?
- Is it true that my 6.0.4 GarageBand will become useless?
- If it does become useless, will I still be able to open projects created with 6.0.4 in my version 10.3.5?
Thank you for any help.
