I set my AppleTV screensaver to be my large library of iCloud Photos about thirteen months ago. Several embarrassing photos appeared within the first day of this. I edited or deleted all of these photos and they are nowhere to be found in my library, but they continue to appear on my AppleTV screensaver. I have tried switching the screensaver to a different library and back again and this has not helped.
What may have happened, is that the cached copies are being used from memory.
Go to the Photos app, select your album, and set to create a screen saver from that again. That will load (download) a fresh set for the screen saver.
