Custom Transparency Mode not showing up

I followed the instructions from Apple as follows:

To customize Transparency mode settings:

  1. Check that you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
  2. Put your AirPods Pro in your ears and connect them to your iPhone or iPad.
  3. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Headphone Accommodations > Transparency Mode.
  4. Tap Custom Transparency Mode and turn it on.

However, I am unable to tap Custom Transparency Mode as it does not show up in the settings. Screenshot is attached. From my understanding Custom Transparency Mode should show up under Phone and Media at the bottom.

I’ve been thinking about this, reviewing the thread above, and I just noticed something.

Compare your screenshot to mine. Do you notice another glaring difference aside from mine showing Transparency Mode?

Check the difference in the “Play Sample” row! Mine is blue and tappable. Yours is gray and so presumably not able to function. Why? I don’t know, but the cause is likely the same as the transparency issue.
