Freezing Text in Numbers

I'm new to numbers, but I could see how it could help me track moves in a game. The game has 4 rounds but I need the round text (Round 1, Round 2, etc.) to remain the same. Round 1 has 8 moves, round 2 has 7, etc..

And then when the game is over all the text placed in each move box (like Draw, Play, Lay Eggs, Gain Food) needs to be deleted. But the text which says Round 1, 2, 3 needs to stay the same. Is this possible?

You can lock the entire table but not specific cells.

If your table is not too large, i.e. you don't have hundreds of rounds, then it should not be too onerous to select each range of cells from which you want to remove your entered values and hit the hit the delete key.

Hi Pamela,

A suggested layout for your table.

You can select Columns C and D and delete their cell contents without affecting Columns A and B.
