how can I remove iCloud locked to owner?

There is nothing you can do and the phone will never be usable unless the original owner unlocks it. That is the way it works and there is no way around it. He will now need to request a new password to make that happen if you locked him out.

Hand the Locked iPhone to your Friend:

You've locked you friend out of his iPhone by entering his passcode incorrectly too many times. So, hand this back to him, as he needs to unlock this.
