MacBook Air M1, 2020 having issues with external LG HDR WFHD monitor: keeps disconnecting

Hello there, My external monitor as described above, keeps disconnecting - really annoying. It is connected via an HDMI connected to a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. The system recognised the external LG monitor as soon as it was connected. What can I do? Thank you in advance.

Try and quit using adapters, use an HDMI to usb C cable instead to see if the issue is persisting
