Location Services not working on iPhone

My Iphone11 Pro got problems with Location Service after updating to the latest IOS 16.6. Even if I try to reset Location Service, restart apps or restart the device. Seems that all my apps that using Location Service fail to get location and get stuck. For example, Weather App, Yr App (another weather app) , and Google Map. Please consider fix this error ASAP.

My Trial-and-error works but just you will miss an important feature, Find my phone. I turned off the feature Find My iPhone. Now all my location service is back to normal.

First, in settings, search the Location Services, then in Share My Location, turn off Find My iPhone.

Second, you need to reset the settings->general-Transfer or reset iPhone->reset->Reset Network Settings.

After it is back. then re-attach to WiFi and other stuffs, allow apps to use location services, etc. as normal.

It works for me for a day now. I think it is fine, but Find My iPhone is important. Waiting for the real fix.

I just replaced my brand spanking new iPhone15 Pro with another because of all the malfunctions I’ve had. It took an act of God and left me in a very precarious position but I’m hopeful the new phone will be better functioning. Meanwhile, I cannot recommend the 15 to anyone. Location, wifi, CarPlay, battery issues, unable to charge, overheating, crackling noises (loud popping like a fire is going to start) when typing intermittenly, dying in the middle of nowhere, and more…. Oddly, Apple. Freely admits many of these issues and put the phone out anyway. Meanswhile, none of my apple devises are working for location services now even though they’re turned on. I drank the coolaid years ago, but I may have to rethink Apple products for the first time in years.

I am having this same issue on iPhone 13 after the 17.3.1 update. It is driving me nuts! Maps and weather are intermittently showing in the list under location services, so I can't update to always when using and widgets. I keep trying to fix it thinking I must have something wrong but no matter what I do it asks me every time if I want to allow my location and now it is happening on my watch! Please fix this!

Did apple update something to fix this and break other things? I'm oncall for a fortune 20 company, and can't find my iphone, which has my security token on it, and my apple watch is finding no devices. Since MS Auth decided they didn't want to support auth via apple watch, I'm in trouble.

I'm going to have to move to android if they can't keep this working. All these companies refusing to work together, makes doing just about anything near to impossible in a reliable way.

I spoke with someone in IT a while ago who told me I should never update software on my devices. Reason being your device already comes with software that is compatible with it. Updating a newer version of software onto your phone will always cause issues because there are differences that will make it incompatible with your phone capabilities. The whole point of them getting you to download a new software with “cool new features” is so that your devices begin running slow and need to be updated as well. My last few iPhones I never updated software on and never had any issues.
