Random pop up on iPhone -Activate esim (Metro by T-Mobile)

Hi there,

Since yesterday I’ve had this notification come up in settings a few times about activating an esim on my iPhone. I’ve attached a picture of it below.

I’m from the U.K. so obviously don’t use T Mobile or esim so I’ve no idea what this even means?

Can someone please advise?

Thank you

iPhone 6s, iOS 11

Hey Charrr89,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If you're not trying to activate a cellular plan via eSIM, you may need to erase it. For steps on how to erase it, see the steps below or in this article: How to erase the eSIM on your iPhone.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
3. Tap the plan that you want to erase.
4. Tap Delete eSIM.

If you have further questions or concerns, we suggest contacting Apple support here: Get Support.

Take care.
