For some reason, my new macbook air M2 does not get security texts (the two-factor ID ones), but I get them on my phone and my old macbook air M1. As far as I can tell, the setup on both MB Airs is exactly the same.
I am running Ventura 13.5 and messages 14.0 (6000) on both machines.
