Are you referring to the Apple ID? IF so, you need to sign out of it, If this is under someone else's account, then they need to perform the logout. Have them perform as instructed here, including the iCloud logout: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

An Apple ID is no more than an eMail address. So, it is an eMAil address your would have used in the past, if not the one you used to log in to these forums with.. Do you still have access to any format eMail addresses? If so, you need to change the eMail address to be that of your own. You may have to take it in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. But, see what Apple Support can do for you over-the-phone.
