audio issues Airpods

The microphone on my airpods don't work. On calls my coworkers say I sound muffled or barely audible. How do I fix it or should I schedule a repair. (reseting the airpod case did not work)

Troubleshooting Muffled -Sounding AirPods:

A. Restart a Couple of Times:

Restart the device you are connecting these too a couple of times. I assume an iPhone. So, use the following...

B. Why the Issue?

Interference: This is likely an error with interference. So, start here: If your AirPods Pro make crackling or static sounds - Apple Support
If Used in a Closed Space: Does it sound muffled? If you are using these in a closed room, then echos can come about.
