Apple Pencil not charging
My Apple Pencil first generation won’t charge when connected to my iPad.

I suspect that this 1st gen Apple Pencil was left uncharged for an extended period of time. If that is the case, the lithium battery inside may be completely depleted and will not take a charge. As such, it will no longer work for you and you will need to get a new replacement Pencil.
