The metal rod in my Apple Pencil looks slightly bent after dropped and now it won’t work

I dropped my Apple Pencil and the metal rod inside bent just a bit and it doesn’t work

but before it bent sometimes it wouldn’t work and I would have to screw the tip on or restart my iPad but after I dropped it two of those methods won’t work and I think it’s just completely broken now. is the pencil broken ?
