after using Apple car play how can I cancel it out and return to my car’s regular audio menu

Hello.

On the Apps home screen of CarPlay, there should be an App icon of your car to return to the regular interface of your car. If there is any other trouble, Apple has an article for that: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support
