New iWatch (series 8) no power

I received my first iWatch Series 8 on the 1st of August 2023. Removed it from the package and placed it on the charger. It showed a small icon in the upper left hand corner showing charging⚡️. but quite simply would not turn on. Called support, they said defective watch return it. Received my second Series 8 iWatch today. Same issue, while on the phone with Apple Support I decided to try spinning the watch several times on the charger one way then spin it the opposite direction. Magically it restarted and I could pair to the watch.

PS The first one acted in the same way

I apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with both of your iWatch Series 8 devices. It's concerning to encounter the same issue with two different watches.

While the spinning motion you tried seems to have helped power on the watch, it's not a typical solution and might indicate an underlying problem with the charging or power circuitry. The fact that both watches had the same behavior suggests there might be an issue with the batch or a specific manufacturing problem.

To ensure you have a fully functional device, I highly recommend reaching out to Apple Support again and explaining the situation with both watches. They should be able to assist you further, run diagnostics, and provide appropriate solutions, which may include a replacement or repair.

Apple takes product quality seriously, and they should be able to address the issue to ensure you have a reliable iWatch Series 8. Please keep them informed about your experience so they can assist you accordingly.

Thank You, I assumed it was just the timing that had past on the charger. (45 Minutes). These watches (just a guess) come with no power or pre-charge in their batteries. I've personally never experienced this with Apple, but you'll figure it out on your end. Just an FYI one is a fluke, two is a trend in the market. Have a nice day🙂🙂
