After recent upgrade, now my videos don’t play in my phone gallery

How can I get my videos to play in my photo gallery, since my recent update to my iPad it’s not working

It sounds like your videos are not playing when tapped from the Photos app. We can help.


Are you using iCloud Photos on your iPad? If that's the case, and tapping on the video doesn't start playback, it could mean that your video hasn't downloaded to your device preventing it from playing.


First, let's check your iPad storage to see if it may be low. If it is low, the information syncing from iCloud may be unavailable at times to prevent your storage from becoming full. Use this link to see How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad.


If you see that the iPad storage is nearing capacity, use the recommendations of that resource to clear up some space. After clearing iPhone storage, you should be able to sync and download the video to view. If not, be sure you're connected to a known good Wi-Fi network to allow for the video to sync.


If you still can't view the video on your iPad after checking storage and your network connection, you can connect with Apple directly using either Get Support or if you're in a region without direct support options, you can also Contact Apple for support and service.
